Mr Johnson landed at Athens International Airport late Wednesday after flying via Bulgaria due to a current ban on direct flights from the UK, before visiting his Villa Irene, on Mount Pelion, in central Greece.
Greece and Turkey have been at odds for decades over a range of issues including where their continental shelves start and end, energy exploration rights in the eastern Mediterranean, overflights in the Aegean Sea and Meteora greece taxi fare to airport ethnically-split Cyprus.
