The Queen Consort looked resplendent in blue earlier this week to welcome the South African president, first in Fiona Clare and then wearing Bruce Oldfield for the state banquet.

Today she's in an autumnal shade of forest green, but it was her accessories that really caught our attention. A Van Cleef & Arpels brooch, Launer boots and a Bulgari bag? Very sophisticated.

We love the top handle design of the 'Serpenti Forever' bag, which features an elaborate snake's head on the clasp. According to the Harrods website, 'its piercing malachite eyes are said to bring healing and positive energy to the wearer'. We're sold!
