Police have released CCTV footage of the owner of a dog who viciously mauled an 11-year-old schoolgirl.
The child was walking in 's Tower Hamlets on her way to school when she passed a man walking two dogs.
As she passed them, one of the animals lunged at her and bit her repeatedly on the hand and arm.

She was saved by a passing taxi driver who wrested the victim from the dog's grip.

The girl was rushed to hospital with broken bones and potentially life-changing injuries.

Detective Inspector Luke Hampton said: 'This was a shocking and sustained attack on a young girl as she walked to school.
'The incident not only left her with serious injuries - including broken bones - but has also left her traumatised.
'We need to quickly identify the owner of these dogs to make sure this does not happen again.'
