There's a bad element to all of this of course, mostly which it has become increasingly difficult for artists and entertainers to get compensated for the work that they are doing. Still there is definitely an upside as well. With the ease it takes to put funny videos online or your weird short films online nearly anyone can release their work and have it seen by a wide range of folks. As a result people are willing to check out things they might never have seen back when they were seriously considering just how to best utilize their precious entertainment money.

I think at this point it's best for the whole world to check out a lot of distinct things on the net from free indie films to short films, but to also take the leap and hit up the theater every now and again or even occasionally buy a DVD. This seems like the top way to keep the films I want coming and keep myself informed.
