What Is An Electrostatic Precipitator And How Does It Work

De Wikifliping

An electrostatic precipitator, or ESP for short, is a type of air pollution control device that removes fine particulate matter from a gas stream utilizing the force of an induced electrostatic charge. Essentially, it functions making a high voltage electric field that ionizes air molecules, which then attract and capture particles because they go through the field. These particles are then collected on some plates or electrodes, which is often periodically removed and cleaned.
