A mother was left fuming after a school duct-taped her daughter's legs to cover her rippedduct cleaning hamilton tape on her daughter's skin.
The angry mother recorded herself walking into the school and could be heard asking her daughter, 'Who was it?'
Challenging a member of staff behind a plastic screen, she continued: 'Did you think it was acceptable to put duct tape on my daughter's skin?'
Shanah Drummond, from Missouri, was left fuming after a school duct-taped her daughter's legs to cover her ripped jeans- saying the cheerleader uniforms are shorter
In response, the administrator could faintly be heard saying that she told the student to go to the nurse's office, although it's not clear why.
However Shanah claimed in the comments section that that was a 'lie' saying the administrator had asked if she had an extra pair of pants, which she reportedly did not, before demanding the pants be taped shut.
The mother captioned the video: 'Am I overreacting, or am I justified in being p***ed off that the school thought it was acceptable to put duct tape on my childs skin?
'I feel the school should've called me if they needed her to change her pants. We have never had an issue with a dress code before.
'The cheerleader uniforms are shorter than this. She was humiliated and had to hide it by tying her coat around the front of her. My daughter has eczema & sensitive skin and if she didn't text us, she would've sat all day with duct tape irritating her legs.'
Many rushed to the comment in support of the mother with some people agreeing that the school went too far.
One person wrote: 'Dress code or not, you call the parents and tell them to bring a change of clothes. You don't put tape on someone's child!'
Another wrote: 'The issue isn't wether or not she was in dress code, it's that they put duct tape on her w/o giving her the choice to call home for new clothes instead.'

Someone else said: 'I have 2 daughters extremely allergic to adhesive it would have pull her skin off. How do these laws come to pass.'
While a fourth wrote: 'I would like to point out something. in the caption, the CHEERLEADING UNIFORMS ARE SHORTER. same with my school!!!!'
One person wrote: 'This isn't right but she did tell the girl to go to the nurses office and it does say not ripped jeans.'
To which the Shanah replied: 'That was a lie. She asked her if she had anything else to change into. The nurse doesn't have Adult clothing, just a limited amount of kids clothing.'

Many rushed to the comment in support of the mother with some people agreeing that the school went too far but others didn't see the problem with it and sided with the school
While some people didn't see the problem with it and sided with the school.
One person wrote: 'Maybe it's me that doesn't see it as a big deal. It's just tape. I was dress coded enough in school to know that they probably offered her sweats '
Another said: 'Should read the school handbooks they really never change.'
While another simply wrote: 'some parents are too much.'
