You may be wondering if you need a restoration company. Maybe the amount of water was minimal, so you don’t see the point of hiring a restoration company. But the thing is that even a minor amount of water, such as 4-8 gallons, can do major damage to your home if left unmanaged. We have often been called out to assess damage to a home, which customers thought wasn't a big deal. One example of this was a customer we had whose drainpipe had come out of the dishwasher and spilled the 4-8 gallons held inside the machine. This customer had this happen overnight and did not notice the water on the floor until the following morning. He saw the water and decided to mop and towel up the water and called it good. He had no idea the amount of damage that only a small amount of water could do!
