Gas Leak At Tasmanian Brewery

Local roads near a popular Launceston brewery were closed down following reports of a gas leak.

Emergency services were called to the area just before 8am on Sunday with reports the leak was coming from a large storage cylinder and they believed at that time it was carbon dioxide (CO2).

Technicians from Boags Brewery with the help of Tasmania Fire Service shut off the pressure release Valve Or Cylinder engine of the gas cylinder.

Roads have since been reopened and no one was injured as a result of the gas leak.
