Ghislaine Maxwell has claimed US prison officials 'allowed' her paedophile former boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein to die behind bars - but she offered no apology to his victims.
The billionaire was found dead in his cell at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019 while he was awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

He had suffered a cardiac arrest, and a medical examiner ruled he had hanged himself.
Maxwell, 61, who was convicted of trafficking young women for Epstein, has previously claimed she believes the disgraced billionaire had been murdered in prison, according to her brother.
Speaking to Jeremy Kyle on his TalkTV programme, Maxwell was asked to address Epstein's victims.

She said: 'I say that Epstein died and they should take their disappointment and upset out on the authorities who allowed that to happen. And as I said I hope they have some closure by the judicial process that took place.'

But Lisa Bloom, a lawyer for Jeffrey Epstein's victims, today called her comments 'disgusting' and said it 'really doesn't matter' what the former British socialite thought because she has never seen the original.
She insisted that Andrew 'had every right' to prove it was not real during the legal case against him over claims he had sex with Ms Giuffre after she was trafficked to London by Epstein.
The Duke of York has reached a settlement with his accuser while not accepting any culpability.

He had always vigorously denied her claims.
The circumstances around Epstein's death have always been a matter of controversy, with conspiracy theorists suggesting he was murdered to stop him from providing more information to prosecutors.
His family attorneys also said that the marks on his neck looked as though he had been strangled and not hanged by a sheet.
This was what Jeffrey Epstein's cell looked like after he killed himself on August 10, 2019
Meanwhile, Maxwell's brother Ian told a Spectator podcast that his sister 'does think he was killed'.
However, the former Attorney General Bill Barr said he had 'personally' reviewed the surveillance footage and was able to conclude that Epstein was alone in the cell.
'The New York City medical examiner had conducted an autopsy and ruled that Epstein killed himself by hanging,' he wrote in his book, One Damn Thing After Another.
'Other evidence also pointed to suicide, but it was the video evidence that confirmed the medical examiner's finding.
'I personally reviewed that video footage.

It shows conclusively that between the time Epstein was locked in his cell at 7:49 p.m. on the night of August 9 and the time he was discovered the next morning at 6:30 a.m., no one entered his tier.'
Instead of murder, Barr said a 'perfect storm' of failures by guards at The Metropolitan Correctional Center led to his death.
Maxwell also used her interview to defend her friend Prince Andrew and suggest a photo of him with his accuser Virginia Giuffre was fake.
But Maxwell told TalkTV: 'I have no memory of them meeting.

And I don't think that picture is real.
'It is a fake. I don't believe it is real for a second, in fact I am sure it is not. There has never been an original, there is no photograph.'
She added: 'There is no original of that photo, (just) copies of copies and  that Andrew now wants to 'prove' his innocence in a US court.
Prince Andrew denied ever meeting Ms Giuffre in a disastrous Newsnight interview in 2019
They said: 'He was pressured into settling the case to avoid overshadowing the Platinum Jubilee and has paid a heavy price, Urime Ditelindja personally and professionally.

The King is happy for him to pursue this.
