Chantel posted the results of her transformation on Instagram and said:
'We surprised my parents with a full garage organisation and transformation. This is how we did it.'
Firstly, the mum-of-two said she cleared out all of the shelves and placed everything on the floor, sweeping the floors and dusting down the space.
Next, Chantel said she sorted the items into categories like 'sport' and 'car' and placed them into different boxes.

'We used Inabox QR stickers to organise their items, so they can search for the exact item they're looking for in the app,' Chantel said.
She recommends placing a QR code on the front of each box, naming the box, setting its location and saving a photo of everything that's inside so you can quickly and easily see everything.
The Inabox storage containers and QR codes are available at Bunnings Warehouse and start from just $4.50.
Meanwhile, the stickers cost $11 for a pack of 60.
'This was such a great summer project to tick off the to-do list and start the new year with a clean and organised space,' Chantel added.

Hundreds who saw the transformation were quick to say it had inspired them to do their own and it was 'so satisfying'.
But not everyone was on board.
'I love the idea of this, however knowing the family after using an item have put it back in the right box is another thing!' one person wrote.
'You could just use see through boxes,' another added.
